20th Century Fox have released an announcement video for this year’s ALIEN Day.  The event will be “…the third annual global celebration of the iconic sci-fi franchise” and will take place on April 26, 2018.

The past 2 years saw announcements and reveals of tons of stuff.  Mostly licenced goodies being revealed by companies wanting to pimp their upcoming merchandise to an attentive audience but has also been known for other related media as well.  A lot of people I know would like to have some News about any upcoming ALIEN movie.  It’s been over a year since the last movie, ALIEN Covenant, was released and to date there’s been no word of any follow up.  ALIEN Day is the perfect time for such announcements – if any – to be made.

ALIEN Day is 2 weeks away.  I’m looking forward to it.  You should to.

Is it the world’s strangest pyjamas?  Maybe.  I’m sure there’s stranger than this but I’ve never bothered to check.  Maybe it’s an ideal Halloween costume, if you’re into that kind of thing; or maybe it’s cool for some ALIEN Isolation LARPing …if you’re into that kind of thing.

I first saw this item announced on April 1 – so I’m not yet convinced this is the real deal. Anyway, if you want to go snorkeling and scare the bejesus out of other sea creatures – including other divers – then wearing this thing is the ideal way to go.

Looks like a parody of cover art for the famous Nirvana album, Nevermind, huh.  Anyway,  the ALIEN Facehugger Snorkel Mask is an exclusive from Think Geek.  Here’s some of its (suspect) features:

Japanese manufacturer, Figma, will be releasing their Big Chap action figure sometime in the near future.  Rather than strictly adhere to 100% accuracy, their articulated figure will be more stylised in appearance.  Looks neat though.

Here’s Figma’s website with more information.  You will need to be able to read Japanese.  So I have no idea when this will be released, how big it is (around 6 inches, by the look of it) or how much it will cost.

RESIN REALITIES have a super looking resin kit of the Alien based on one of H.R. Giger’s early designs of the creature.The item is cast in 8 resin pieces and when assembled, stands a good 15 inches tall on a base with name plate.  This does look mighty impressive.  I’ve seen other garage resin kits of Giger’s pre-production vision of the creature and this looks as good as any of them.

Loyal Subjects have revealed the full range of figures appearing in their ALIENS themed blind box offering.  We knew something along these lines was on the cards since last year’s Toy Fair but little was known about them.

Galeforce Nine looks to be releasing an ALIENS themed miniatures board game later this year.  Looks super neat, too.  Tabletop pulse rifles, smartguns and a bunch of slimy assholes to use them against.  Can’t have too much of that.

It looks to be set up for 2 players in Co-operative game play, possibly playing as a commanders for 2 squads of marines vs them wily xenomorph bugs.  …or maybe you both play as a hive full of Aliens, defending your nest from invading marines – a great Continue reading →

Toy Fair 2018 is happening in New York this weekend and I’d love to go.  Living in Australia, however, makes this ambition a little prohibitive.  Mind you, I’d still love to post News regarding any new  ALIEN merchandise revealed by attending exhibitors!

Above is just some of the companies who’ve produced ALIEN merchandise in the past who will be in attendance this year.  Let’s see and share what they have to show off this year.

If anyone is going to this year’s Toy Fair (Feb. 17-20) is interested in providing News of any ALIEN action figures, toys or statues presented by any company you see there, I will post it.  Photographs will be greatly appreciated!  You’ll be credited accordingly and any images provided will respectfully remain your property and used only with permission.

It’s a 1:1 scale figure of the torso rending Alien in its infant stage from Hollywood Collectibles Group.  I don’t know too much about this item as the site is in Japanese.  All I can make is what I assume to be the date, ‘2018’.  That’s it.  That’s all I know.

All the same, this bloodied piece of Nasty does look like a great iteration of the creature.  How much is it going to cost?  It’s yours for only …well, I don’t know how much really; just visit the site and figure it out for yourself.  Also, there’s about a dozen extra pics for you  to drool over.  Or bleed over, if that’s your preference.  lol.
