Over at Bloody Disgusting, a set of images has recently been posted featuring NECA’s upcoming Batman vs Joker Alien 2 pack figures. Quite a pair here; and a great follow up to NECA’s previous DC/Fox crossover, Batman vs Alien. This one time rumored to be cancelled mash up will be exclusively available to October 2019 New York Comic Con. Here’s a brief description of the two unlikely antagonists, “The set includes two brand new, comic book based figures, both with over 30 points of articulation. Batman features a fabric cape, and the “Joker” Alien has a bendable tail.” Sounds good so far. Continue reading

SDCC 2019 NECA Reveals 22 Inch Big Chap.
NECA have released official images of their upcoming ‘Big Chap’ ALIEN action figure. This one quarter scale, 22 inch tall action figure is expected to be released around November 2019.NECA have also stated this item will be packaged in “a special tribute to the 1979 Kenner Alien figure!” I guess that means a big blue box with windows in front and on top. Here’s what NECA have to say about this item, “1/4 Scale Action Figure – 40th Anniversary Big Chap. … We’ve given a deluxe upgrade to the Xenomorph known to fans as “Big Chap,” with an all-new sculpt standing over 22” tall. It has a hinged jaw that opens, revealing an inner mouth that extends for realistic movie action. It has over 30 points of articulation, including double knee joints and a bendable tail, and extra attention has been paid to all the eerie details that made H.R. Giger’s designs for Alien so mesmerizing. The packaging is a special tribute to the 1979 Kenner Alien figure!”
I am interested; but will it include a double sided B&W poster that will be worth over US$100 in 40 years time?

NECA’s latest offereing will be appearing at this year’s San Diego Comic Con. This time, Superman will be appearing alongside our happy smiling Alien friend in a pairing based on an old Dark Horse comic in this captivating Superman Vs Alien 2 pack release.
It’s the ultimate power of Truth, Justice and the American Way* confronting the galaxy’s most notorious space monster (Hell, I want the Alien to win – but you already knew that, right?)! Well, they’re both Aliens, really.
Anyway, here’s what NECA have to say about this even exclusive ” The set includes two brand new, comic book based figures, both with over 30 points of articulation. Superman stands approximately 7” tall, features a fabric cape and comes with attachable eye blast effect. The Alien stands approximately 9” tall and has a bendable tail.”

Facehugger Friday once again brings a welcome reveal from NECA on Facebook. Once again they are blessing us with final packaging for merchandise in their upcoming ALIEN Resurrection line. This time, it’s their new deluxe variant of the Queen Alien in a stunning windowed box presentation. Isn’t she beautiful..?
While this item isn’t expected to be a completely screen accurate version of the Queen from the movie (unless it includes an external uterus accessory) it is expected to be an updated brown version of their previously released excellent Queen Alien. We shall see.
This is what NECA have to say about this imminently released item “Get ready for more Aliens this summer. The Alien: Resurrection Deluxe Queen Action Figure is packed up and will be ready to ship out to retailers in the coming week!”
Here’s a couple more images of the package design. Nice:

RUMOR – NECA’s Upcoming Kenner Rhino ALIENS Figure.
Word from the NECA Fan Event from this past weekend in New Jersey carries the good news that NECA’s next Kenner tribute figure will be the 1993 Rhino Alien. This news is also accompanied by details the figure will be larger than the usual 7 inch ALIEN items NECA have released to date. While not as big as their Queen Alien, it will probably scale well with other figures in that range. Here’s the original 4 inch toy made by Kenner, late last Century.
Also rumored to be in the works is a new ALIEN corridor diorama piece with working lights and is anticipated to be released next year. On top of that, comes the welcome News the long awaited Batman vs Joker Alien 2 pack is still heading our way.
While this is all rumor right now, it comes directly from the event itself and may be as accurate as it can get – so now we just wait for official announcements on these items. I would like to thank Joshua Ambrosius and Eric Christian Magee for the alert on these potentially upcoming items.
A large scale Rhino Alien figure? Fantastic! I have to admit it’s an exciting prospect and if NECA do decide to make a Bull Alien, I am hoping it too will be a larger than standard figure that scales well with the other NECA ALIEN stuff. I’ll be posting more News regarding these NECA items as it becomes available.

This selection features the Juvenile Queen Alien had it been born, the Queen Facehugger and the juvenile Dog Alien (aka Bambi Burster). Also present in the package is Murphy’s rottweiler, Spike. Spike also features an alternate accessory head with scarring from his unfortunate off screen encounter with the Queen Facehugger. Very tasty stuff. Woof!
Here’s what NECA have to say about this soon to be released item “Happy #FacehuggerFriday! NECA Superman vs ALIENS SDCC Exclusive Revealed.
It looks like this year’s San Diego Comic Con (18-21 July) will be graced with NECA’s exclusive SUPERMAN vs ALIENS action figures. Bloody Disgusting has some great images of Krypton’s favourite son beating up on a dastardly space bug. All the comic book action you could ever want featuring the world’s greatest superhero and the galaxy’s most notorious space monster!
There’s a bunch of more images over at Bloody Disgusting. I suggest you go check ’em out. NECA has other SDCC exclusives as well including a meaty looking PREDATOR vs BATMAN 2 pack.
What’s more, it looks that BATMAN vs JOKER ALIEN that we saw being promoted a couple of years back and fell off the radar for a while looks like it will finally surface after all. That’s not surprising really, considering this SUPERMAN vs ALIENS 2 pack is not just confirmed but it’s release is happening, around 6 weeks away. Fantastic!

NECA DJ Dog Alien Music Video.
Looks like NECA have put their product to good use here. DJ Dog Alien, a sax duo and a trio of dancers appearing in this short animated video featuring performing Alien action figures on ALIEN Day.
This weirdness is welcome. Hope we see more from DJ Dog Alien in the future. Of course the big question here, will NECA be releasing a DJ Dog Alien with turntable..? And a pair of AvP Aliens with saxophone accessories. That’s a series of 3 figures I’d like to see released. Yes please, NECA.

Brett will be joining Parker later this year. No doubt more information will be forthcoming shortly. I wonder what his accessories will be? Cattle prod..? Net..? Interchangeable head with lethal gaping wound in the forehead..? All of these, please, NECA.

Alien Day 2019: Top 10 Fan Favourite NECA ALIEN Figures.
NECA want to know what your favourite ALIEN figure is. The company has been busy and provided us with a good assortment of action figures based on movies, comics and other speculative sources. Around 90, the last time I counted. They will publish the results of the vote on ALIEN Day, April 26.
There’s 24 items on the ballot. Choose 3.
Here’s what NECA have to say about this year’s vote, “To keep the list simple we are going to take last years Top 10 and add to that other releases since April 2018. And as there has not been many new releases in the past 12months we’ve thrown in some high scoring wildcards from previous years. You can choose three figures and that will generate our 2019 Top 10 which we will reveal on Alien Day itself.”
My votes went to the Dog Alien, Covenant Alien and the Hadley’s Hope concept piece.

NECA Club-X Purple ALIEN Exclusive Figure… Released?
I’ve seen rumors spreading across some social media regarding the recent release of NECA’s purple ALIEN figure. While this would be very welcome News indeed, sadly, it’s probably not true. NECA have made no announcements regarding this item.
If you were a member of the NECA Club x Alien 2017 membership program, then you were eligible to pre-order the exclusive 9 inch Purple Alien Warrior! Unfortunately, the figure has kind of gotten lost in action figure limbo and NECA have said very little about it during the past 12 months.
No doubt the circumstances surrounding the long overdue figure not manifesting has been taken advantage of by someone this past April Fool’s Day.
To my knowledge, this ALIENS item is still aimlessly floating around, lost in deep space. We are still waiting for more information regarding it’s arrival.
So, no. It has not been released.

NECA Reveals ALIEN Resurrection Queen Alien Figure.
NECA have posted information on their website for their upcoming ALIEN Resurrection Queen figure. Looks largely like a recasting of their earlier iteration of the Queen from a couple years back; but the addition of this figure to their soon to be released ALIEN: Resurrection line is most welcome.
Here is what NECA have to say about HRH: “She stands over 15″ tall and is over 30″ long, with over 30 points of articulation, including a spectacular posable tail. Bring some of the movie’s most thrilling scenes to life in realistic detail, because the Queen is completely in scale with NECA’s 7″ Alien action figure line.
Includes a display stand and two different interchangeable inner mouths.” More information on this upcoming figure can be found on NECA’s announcement.

Toyark Posts Gallery of NECA ALIENS Series 13.
Over at Toyark, a gallery of over 70 images have been posted of NECA’s recently released ALIENS Series 13 figures dedicated to Kenner items of the 1990s’. There’s also a review of each of the 3 items comprising this set, Sgt. Apone, the Scorpion Alien and the Snake Alien.
These figures have been publicly released and now available from your dealer of choice.
From accounts I’ve been hearing from people already receiving theirs in the mail, this series of tribute figures by NECA has been meet with a generally favourable response. I’d say it is a safe bet that Scorpion Alien is going to be a popular item. The original kenner figure it’s based on was a big hit in its day, back in 1992.
