Super7 released three additional items on blue cards as part of their Wave 3 ALIEN ReAction figure set in 2019. This release primarily included a duplication of the three earlier released figures, Dallas, Ripley and the Alien with minor additions/changes.
Color changes across Ripley and Dallas were intended to more accurately represent the Nostromo crew uniforms as depicted in the movie rather than the default Kenner colour schemes used in Wave 1 where these figures originally appeared. The Alien’s head is modified and for this release features a permanently extended tongue. This figure was coloured to match the other Alien also appearing in this series, black with bone highlights on the head and spattered with red paint.

Includes flamethrower and Jones the cat accessory.
Blood Spattered Alien with Extended Tongue.
Additional notes:
– Both flamethrowers included in this set possess exactly the same details as those originally appearing in Wave 1 but each is cast in a differing material.
– Jones the cat is a completely fresh sculpt appearing for the first time in the earlier released Wave 3, 3 pack Set No.1 which also featured this same variant of Ripley.
– This version of Ripley was originally intended to be released as part of Wave 3 blue cards at New York Comic Con in 2018 but was delayed and not available as part of that set.
– This version of the Alien is the only variant that physically differs from all other versions of this figure with any sculpted changes. It features a permanently fixed in place, fully extended tongue rather than the sliding tongue arrangement present in all other samples.
– The removal of the sliding tongue feature meant the vacant slot on top of the head to accommodate the manipulator for the slider has also been filled in, making the head whole.
– Aside from the modified head and tongue components, this version is alike in all other details including spattered blood paint scheme to the other Alien figure previously released as part of Wave 3 in 2018.
Notes on the card backs:
– The card backs are exactly alike across all releases in the Wave 3 set of figures, including the previously released items in 2018.
– Along with the Wave 3 product range, the card backs feature a sample listing of various other ALIEN figures available outside of Wave 3.
– Included in the card back available character listings are both (infected) versions of Kane from Wave 2 and the complete set of three Nostromo 3 pack compression suit figures.
– The Wave 3 product range depicted on the card backs is incomplete and omits the Wave 3 bloodied variant of the Alien that is included in the 2018 set. Only the bloodied extended tongue version from the 2019 set is depicted on the card back.
