Soon after the availability of the blue card set of five Wave 3 ALIEN ReAction figures at New York Comic Con 2018, Super7 released their entire range of Wave 3 ALIEN ReAction figures in a set of three boxes. Each box contained three items apiece, adding four additional items to Wave 3 thus expanding the product line to include a total of nine items.
This box is the first of three items. It’s contents contain different colorways of Ash with a removable head and Ripley in a more screen accurate finish. The third item of Kane is another repurposing of the same compression suit figure already previously released multiple times with some modifications made to it. Notably, the faceplate on the removable helmet is now fractured and open in a stylised manner resembling fractured glass; and a facehugger has been sculpted onto his face.

Ripley.
Includes flamethrower and Jones the cat accessory.
Ash.
Includes Motion Tracker and removable head.
Kane in compression suit (with breached helmet).
Includes suit helmet accessory.
Additional Notes.
– This is the first release of Jones the cat in ReAction figure format. He is included as an accessory with the Ripley figure, along with a flamethrower. All of these items would also be re-released together at a later date, mounted on blue card in 2019.
– Along with all other human(oid) now released, Jones inclusion in this pack completes the Nostromo crew roster.
– This set of figures boasts the highest amount of accessories, more than in any previous ALIEN release in ReAction figure format. Ripley includes a flamethrower and jones, Ash possesses a motion tracker and removable head; while the facehugged Kane’s removable helmet brings the total number of accessories in this package to five.
Notes on the box design.
– Other than identifying box contents and box set numbers, all design elements and features, logos and dates are common and exactly alike across all three boxes in this wave of figures.
– Barcodes are specific to each box.
– The colour theme of the window box is inspired by cloth badges appearing on garments worn by the Nostromo crew as seen in the movie.
– The Pump Demi font is used on the package design. This font appears throughout the movie, it notably appearing on clothing and elsewhere (Space suit name tags, etc.).
– The figures are marked as “EXCLUSIVE” on the back of the box but this feature is inconsistent with the actual release:
- The ‘bloodied’ Ash with removable head is the only character included in this set of Wave 3 figures to actually not appear elsewhere on blue card or in any other packaging format, making this version of the only truly unique – and genuinely exclusive – character in this set of nine figures.
- Dallas and the Bloodied Alien were each released at a later date on blue card, rendering their exclusive status as noted on the back of this box set as inaccurate.
- At the time of the release of this set, this colorway Ripley item was also not previously available. Nonetheless, unlike Dallas and The Alien, she possesses no “EXCLUSIVE” status on the back of the box yet all three figures were released at a later date on blue card.
