NECA, ‘Stompy’, (2015)
Sure, NECA’s ALIEN: Isolation figure is a variant of their previous Series 2 Big Chap but it’s had some changes to differentiate it and make it more accurate to the match the on screen video game character. Digitigrade legs and a longer tail terminating in a saber like blade are the key differences here and while they may seem minor in terms of greater detail, it works extremely well when applied to the original ‘Big Chap’ figure.
Nonetheless, it’s a great interpretation a video game character that that gets its jollies from relentlessly terrifying players. Look, ALIEN movies stopped scaring me decades ago but after 4 years of playing this game since its release in 2014, it still has the capacity to surprise and scare the bejesus outta me.
