These prototype test shot facehuggers below are from later during the production run. This first item is of the accessory included with the Newborn figure.

This second item was an inclusion with the ALIEN Resurrection Call figure. This item is clearly a completely different sculpt which demonstrates a decision early in the production process of these figures to not have duplicate items present across multiple packages and products.
Finally, this wax facehugger below is an original sculpted item, representing the first true form that would eventually become the accessory piece to be included in the Kenner ALIEN Resurrection Call package. This item is the same size as the Call facehugger accessory appearing above.
The fine detail in this original 2 inch wax sculpt will lose some fidelity with each pass during the production run. From original sculpt, through the hard copy process to create steel molds and onto the eventual test shots and serial production pieces, each stage loses small amounts of definition with each iteration of the figure on its production path to store shelves.
