ReJection Figures… I’ve been seeing a lot of these lately and right now it would appear to be ‘Defective ALIEN Action Figures and Toys’ Season. Here’s another one. This item is the Alien Warrior from Super7’s “Xenomorph Collection” wave of ReAction figures, completely disassembled in unopened packet. 
This is such a wonderful item and a great example of contents gone wrong, exploded into its basic parts. It’s been added to ImPerfect Organisms, the section of this site dedicated to such faulty product items and factory error samples. This does look like a stunning piece but the price tag isn’t the only limitation you may encounter if you want this item. Only one sample remains in the seller’s inventory. Which means if you want to have an excuse to spend next month’s rent on something else and impress everyone, this is well detailed and accurate metal statuette will no doubt be a great choice! Sure, you might end up being homeless but hey. At least you’ll own a really cool collectible.
This fellow was sealed in this incomplete state. He is now documented and celebrated here at HIDEOUS PLASTIC along with a wide variety of of production error samples we have lovingly labeled as 
Sadly, Rebellion’s two decades old, turn of the century AvP title is not among those games listed in the sale. It’s a great old title, too, that I spent many an hour on. I haven’t played ALIENS Fireteam Elite just yet as I am still waiting for more content to drop to make this title worth the purchase as I’m not an online gamer. I gotta say it, though, I’ve been playing Elden Ring for the past six months and been thoroughly spoiled in this regard. The amount of content present in that title puts just about everything else out there to shame!
Significantly, both legs on this figure are comprehensively mutilated with the right foot completely severed and the left foot present by barely attached. Such damage usually occurs when the figure is dropped and the force of impact transfers through the ankles. It’s a relatively common form of damage but rarely happens to both feet like this. Repairing such damage and expecting this figure to stand upright again is highly unlikely. 
Happy ALIEN Day! Today we celebrate all things from space, covered in slime and wanting to rip your face off with multiple sets of chrome plated dentures. What a day! What a lovely day! For my part in celebrating, here’s a project I’ve been working on for the last six months. This item is a heavily modified 1979 Kenner ALIEN toy. I am pleased to introduce to you, the Crystal Wizard.
The first reveal for this project was made around this time last year, on ALIEN Day which makes it fitting to reveal this a year later. I am now looking forward to making further announcements in the coming months. Watch this space. Especially if you are interested in unlicenced knock offs, outlandish bootleg nonsense, satirical takes on collectible phenomenon and really bad junk. Especially really bad junk. After all, it’s Basura – the name says it all.
In past years 4-26 has been the day various ALIEN licence holders and fans indulged in making a variety of public announcements. This year should be no different. Big names are often attached and while the past couple of years have been a little scant in this regard, this year is potentially very special.
For me, this little guy is the epitome of what 
This Gloss Black Alien is from Super7’s A1 Series of blind box SPACE VILLAIN ReAction figures. At a glance, he doesn’t look too bad but a closer inspection reveals he is in possession of two left legs. Ash is from Super7’s ALIEN ReAction figure series Wave 3, he’s intentionally painted with milky android blood over his upper torso. He’s meant to be like that but he is strangely lacking any details on his face. His eyes and eyebrows have failed to be painted and he blankly stares at the world, eternally failing to connect with his human being peers. The mind of a deceitful machine forever trapped behind a blind gaze.
Larry, on the left is blessed with an alternate arm. At some point, either in the factory where these things are made or else when, he acquired an elbowless robotic arm. It’s a good match either way and appropriate for this guy. Moe, in the middle, demonstrates such color contrasts with his blue torso and red head and limbs, he’s definitely going to stand out in any crowd. Finally, Curly/Shemp is simply just lurid green without any compromises. Loss of detail, production artifacts, abundant amounts of demolding flashings and other anomalies just makes them beautiful, I say. 
This truly is a lovely example of a production error. This Kane figure in his compression suit is packaged in a box intended for the Alien itself. This item is still factory sealed and shows no tampering with either of the stickers used to seal the package. This is exactly how this figure shipped from NECA’s factory.
This is a standard US version of the figure. It is unopened, without any significant marks or creasings on the box. The windows on the front and top appear to be secure and the bright blue package looks rich and free of any UV damage making it look fresh and clean. Items of this quality are uncommon in the US; but they do appear with a fair degree of frequency. This box item is extremely well preserved and will command attention when displayed.
This item is in a considerably more degraded condition compared to the previous item listed not so long ago. That item was a full, complete figure with all parts present and a rare Canadian sample. It sold for Au$900. This item is being listed by the same seller but the condition is significantly less feature packed. A lot of parts (5) are missing and you’ll be hard pressed to find any replacements in this country. Nonetheless, it’s still a 1979 Kenner ALIEN and the price is justifiable, even for a figure missing many of its smaller pieces. Someone will be lucky to land this item in Australia and it will be thoroughly worth what they pay for it.
There’s a few notes to be made here. All pieces being offered do show some wear and obvious use but the news does get better from here. The torso halves appear to be complete in all important regards. The rectangular socket between the shoulders where the elusive crest (not included in this sale) usually sits is intact. These rectangular sockets are frequently damaged. This one appears to be in good condition, without any obvious breaks or stress damage. There should be four pins inside the shoulders, too. Some are visible in the images provided by the seller and each one I can see is also intact. This is good news as it means attaching the arms to the shoulders for them to be properly supported will be successful.
