UPDATE: Sold within hours of being listed.
Available right now on eBay is this severed limb. It’s a loose right arm for a 1979 Kenner ALIEN toy. The vendor is asking US$49.99 for this item. These arms are frequently missing from figures and they do appear on eBay around once a month or so; sometime in pairs, sometimes individually like this. A US$50 price tag on a single limb like this unusually high. The limbs aren’t missing anywhere near as frequently as the dome or the crest on the back of the figure and as such demand isn’t quite as high. A single limb usually sells for around US$25; 2 for $30-40 is common. So this is definitely one of the more expensive samples of this single piece I have seen listed for a long time.
Nonetheless, the condition of this piece is reasonably good. There is the typical damage of the broken neoprene anchor missing which means the new owner will have to attach the limb to the torso via a means of their own devising. There’s countless ways of doing so that but the figure will need to be disassembled to fix it properly in place. Other than that, it looks to be clean and in good condition. The elbow spur is intact and all 6 fingers are present. It’s a nice looking piece and if you have a figure missing this arm, US$50 might complete it adequately.
