UPDATE – This listing was ended by the seller because there was an error in the listing.
There’s been a noticeable increase of 40 year old parts salvaged from old ALIEN toys available on eBay lately. Here’s another one. The seller wants US$49.99 (or make an offer) for this severed right arm. It’s pricey and further more, it’s not even complete. This arm’s general appearance is good and when attached to a figure it will present well. Importantly, all six finger tips and the elbow spur are present and undamaged. It doesn’t appear to be cracked or be contaminated with glue residue at the ball joint, either. It just needs a little cleaning to get some of the dust and gank off it and it will look terrific. That’s no big deal of itself. Some hot water, mild dish washing detergent and an old toothbrush will work perfectly to remove any mange that is currently adhering to this limb.
The real problem is its actual attachment is missing. Absent from this piece is the rubber loop where this piece attaches to the figure’s torso rendering this piece incomplete. The other end of this severed anchor will still be loose within the limb and shaking the arm will force the unrecoverable stump to rattle inside. Sure, there are as many ways to reattach these limbs to the figure you could care to invent but that still fails to alter the fact this limb is incomplete. For US$49.99 you would want that neoprene feature intact, too. Nonetheless, this loose item will sell. It will be sold to whoever makes the best offer. That’s a surety.
