Several loose body parts from a tear down of an original 1979 Kenner ALIEN toy are now available on eBay. These are being sold in three separate lots. (1) A right arm. (2) A lot featuring a variety of various body parts and (3) A pair of torso halves. It will be handy to purchase these loose items if you’re after them to complete a figure of your own; but very few parts on offer are actually in desirable condition. All three lots are being auctioned.The right arm being offered appears to be in good shape. The neoprene anchor is still attached and unbroken. No fingers are missing and the elbow spur is present. That’s a great start and this piece will definitely be purchased by someone who is missing this part. Kenner ALIEN toys missing either arm are commonplace and this piece will no doubt have great appeal to a new owner who will give it a new home, right where it belongs.

Next is a selection of body parts consisting of a head, rear torso piece, quad dorsal appendages and a pair of legs. Sadly, each one of these pieces shows some damage. The head lacks all of its attachments. There is no dome and all four mouth parts are absent. What it does have is scratches and pry marks around the lips where an attempt to remove the teeth are visible. It’s also had the glow in the dark component on the top repainted.The rear torso half has a damaged slot between the shoulder and internal wear to the four pins that support the arms, both of which are common issues these toys have. The quad dorsal appendage is broken at the base, leaving one post floating unattached; and both legs have rents in their seams where an attempt has been made on each leg to separate the halves.

Finally, there’s a pair of torso halves also available. The rear torso half has similar issues as the item appearing in the lot documented above but also features some glue residue where the missing dorsal crest should be located. Both halves have minor wear on the internal pins to support the arms but all pins are unbroken. Both torso halves have light circular scratches on the hip joints where the legs connect.

An interesting selection of parts. Some are good and useful, the arm being a perfect example. Others are in less desirable state but will no doubt be purchased by someone where such parts are missing and a mutilated body part is preferable to no item at all. This is especially true for the head and legs.
