Super 7 has released pre-order details for the first release of their 1986 ‘what if’ scenario of 18 inch tall ALIENS Warrior action figures.

Designed to embrace the speculations of Kenner continuing to design toys for the ALIENS range during the 1980s, this item will ship in late March, 2017.

At US$195.00, this is a hefty price tag.  Nonetheless, the previously released 2016 ‘prototype’version of this figure was sold for the same amount.  It was a limited edition San Diego Comic Con exclusive and only small numbers were available from the Super 7 after the event ended and was completely sold out soon thereafter.

“The imagined successor to the 1979 Kenner Alien toy.  Fully articulated with glow accents, metallic snapping jaws (operated with a trigger on the back of the head like the original 1979 toy), and retro style packaging.  The figure stands 18-inches and can also hang from its tail like the original 1979 Alien figure.”

I’ll be getting one of these as soon as I can.  It will be opened, photographed, reviewed, dismantled and reassembled – maybe even with all the right parts put back in their proper place.  (I’m betting it’s possible to dismantle this item like the earlier released ‘prototype’ and mix ‘n’ match the parts with an original 1979 Kenner figure.  Yeah.  I’ve done that very experiment.  It had limited but very interesting results. lol.)

It will also receive a chapter in the HIDEOUS PLASTIC book.  I am looking forward to adding this one!
