Super 7 recently announced pre-orders were open for their new Kenner derived ALIENS Warrior.  Now they have posted a series of images that compare the original Kenner figure with their new iteration dubbed ‘Classic Toy’.  This new version is one of two that Super 7 plans to release – and I suspect won’t be the last either.

Here’s what Super 7 have to say about their new upcoming homage/alternative version of the figure:

“The Super7 Aliens Warrior is the imagined successor to the legendary 1979 Kenner Alien toy. Super7 has made every effort to replicate what made the original toy special in bringing the 1986 Aliens Warrior to life, including the terrifying triggered inner jaw!

No release date has been announced just yet but I am so looking forward to getting my hands on 1 of these.  I bet they look similar on the inside to the original figure, too. If they’re unmodified from their earlier incarnation of last years Prototype figure, then yeah.  I know what to expect when I open one up and see what it had for breakfast.  This iteration will mark the 11th time the Kenner figure has been released and re-released.
