There’s only 7 days remaining and reaching the desired Goal of AU$25,000 doesn’t look too promising right now. Any success for this KickStarter campaign is very slim.
On the other hand, I believe this Project is worth pursuing and I am proud of what I have achieved to date. A 200 page book ready to march into its final stages once funding is acquired is a great position to be in regardless of the campaign result. I’m sticking with this Project right to the very end and that means this book will eventually be published.
As for KickStarter itself, I’m not one for abandonment. I’m not cancelling this campaign. Success is something I’ve always had to fight hard for and it’s nothing new to me. I’d also discovered a long time ago success borne of lessons learned from failures are so much more valuable than successes just handed to you.
So, I’m behind this campaign all the way to the end. Even if the end result is going to suck. Beyond that, I will continue to work on this book. KickStarter will be over this time next week but my diligent pursuit of seeing HIDEOUS PLASTIC – In stores everyone can hear you scream be published will continue undeterred. Once KickStarter is gone you’ll be able to follow this Project’s progress on hideousplastic.com.
Right now, I’m preparing to move on without the benefits that a successful KickStarter campaign would have enabled. In the meantime, the campaign is still live. If several hundred Backers could make a pledge during the next week, then this book will be delivered by Christmas, 2017. That’s not likely to happen, sure; but hey; I’m also an optimist with a hopeful sense of humor, too.
Thank you for your attention.
