I’m always excited to receive any content relating to the original Kenner ALIEN action figure released in 1979.  Which means having a new item added to the Prototype Gallery section of the site is a big deal, as far as I am concerned.

This image of a transparent engineering sample of the figure’s head was created by Kenner’s design team to evaluate the internal trigger operated mechanism that manipulates the mouth parts.  It’s been added to the already extant page for this figure.  What exactly does a Spirograph kit have to do with it, though?  Go visit the updated page dedicated to prototypes for this figure and find out.
