Just thought I’d toss this little item on the front page. It’s been a long time since I first read it.  It’s an interview posted on Action Figure Insider a little less than 2 years ago.   Super7 announced the first in the series of upcoming SUPER SIZE action figures based on the original 1979 Kenner ALIEN but adopting a more ALIENS flavour.

The 18 inch tall 1986 ‘prototype’ figure – more accurately a limited edition tribute item – was eventually released at San Diego Comic Con in 2016.  It has since been followed up by 2 other versions by Super7 last year in the form of the ‘Classic Toy Edition’ and the ‘Acid Green Edition’.  More are scheduled to follow, possibly sometime this year.  Yes please.

I reviewed this item on HIDEOUS PLASTIC and love it – mostly because of its lurid, outlandish, bold and wild presentation.  It also received a page dedicated to it in the Kenner Family of Derivative and Tribute figures here on the site, too.

Yeah.  *sigh*  I kinda like this item despite it just being a ‘pretendotype’.
